What is Health and Wellness Coaching?
Health and wellness coaching is a partnership where we observe your present self and workingtogether, guide you to a more desirable future. Coaching is a process of exploration and change. We focus on helping you meet your goals at your own pace, in an inclusive and humanistic way. In coaching, we recognize each person as a whole and resourceful individual. 
 
Deciding that it is time for change can be difficult. Often, our current path seems manageable, but this can filter our vision of designing a healthier version of ourselves. To help you smoothly embark on your path toward a balanced lifestyle, we conduct our sessions in a space where there is no judgment and you are free to imagine your ideal future.
 
What areas of health and wellness could I consider exploring in my coaching sessions?
Many lifestyle factors influence our health and wellness. They largely include sleep, nutrition, physical fitness and mobility, weight management, mental and emotional wellness, social interaction, and stress management. We can help in all of these areas and many others.
Still, life has a way of challenging our ability to maintain healthy habits across all of these important areas. Work, relationships, family, and other important parts of our lives can crowd out our ability to focus on wellness. With coaching, you drive the focus of our sessions while we explore ways to bring balance to your life.
 
How is Health and Wellness Coaching different from therapy? 
Health and Wellness Coaching sessions are forward-focused on what’s possible for you based on your goals. Coaching is not a substitute for therapy. Because they are different services, many coaching clients will continue to see their therapist.
 
What can I expect from a coaching session?
Focus and direction toward meeting your specific goals. You can expect to be able to set aside time for yourself to explore your goals and work with someone trained and experienced to help you design achievable action steps. You can also expect an accountability partner to help keep you on your path toward meeting your goals. We use holistic approaches to help you navigate from where you are now to where you want to be.  
 
What happens in a typical coaching session?
We will begin the session with a short opportunity to share anything that may be front-of-mind that could distract from our session. If we’ve met before, we’ll do a quick check-in to see how things are going and discuss any progress made since the last session. We’ll quickly move into determining the area you want to focus on and achieve for the current session. We will spend some time exploring the specific topic as well as potential options for how you might achieve your session objectives. We’ll close with designing specific action steps you will take and discuss your support systems for accountability.
 
Is Health and Wellness Coaching the right solution for me?
Coaching improves the quality of life for all generations and across all experience levels, no matter where you are in your journey. Some people come to coaching already with a basic understanding of the important role sleep, nutrition, physical fitness, mental wellness, and relationships play in a healthy and well life. But, they struggle to bring all of the components together into a comprehensive wellness plan that is sustainable. Others are at the very beginning of their wellness journey and they struggle to create action plans to get the most from each component. It is here where coaching can help create awareness and hone in on goals that are achievable for those living busy lives.
